Dr. A workshop organized by Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Agricultural University under the World Bank Reformed National Agricultural Higher Education Project Institutional Development Scheme on ‘Modern Agricultural Education Opportunity: Bright Future’ was inaugurated on Sunday. Minister Kesarkar was speaking at this time.
Minister Kesarkar said, recognizing the need for future agricultural education, students will now get school education lessons from the very beginning. A new draft has been prepared for agricultural education and it is intended to start agricultural education from the beginning of the current year.

Keeping in mind the difficulties faced by Zilla Parishad teachers while giving lessons for agricultural education to the students of the state, a memorandum of understanding will be signed with the University of Agriculture. The teachers will be given training in agricultural education from the respective agricultural universities. Minister Kesarkar said that the role of the Agriculture Department will be important so that no problem arises in imparting agricultural education from the beginning.
